Reporting on student life – SVT’s pop-up newsroom at Campus Örebro

Two tv reporters at Campus Örebro

Mohammad Mohammad and Frida Lindhe will report on student life at Campus Örebro.

Over the next 30 days, local TV reporters Mohammad Mohammad and Frida Lindhe from SVT Nyheter will be working in Långhuset at Örebro University.

On Monday, 15 September, Swedish Television (SVT) will open its pop-up newsroom at Campus Örebro. The focus will be on covering student life and issues affecting young adults. The local news staff at SVT Örebro will have a temporary news studio in Långhuset. The aim is to capture student life and report on issues impacting young adults – our future leaders.

"I hope we can build relationships and trust here at the university. Something beneficial in the long run, not just a one-month thing," emphasises Mohammad Mohammad, one of the two local journalists reporting from the university.

Frida Lindhe adds:
“In a perfect world, we’d like to get every student at the university to follow our news feed every day, both during and after SVT’s initiative. But more realistically, our biggest ambition is to tell stories that change, educate and impact people – but that might also leave them with a smile on their face.”

SVT is keen to hear news tips!

Feel free to drop by SVT's pop-up newsroom and chat with our reporters about your latest research, what’s happening at your school or department, or your favourite teaching or learning experience.
