“Our new master’s programme offers a unique opportunity for students eager to work internationally and help create a more inclusive society,” says Professor Eleonor Kristoffersson.

This autumn, Örebro University is launching a new international master’s programme in law in collaboration with universities in Belgrade and Palermo. Students will study across three countries and gain innovative expertise in human rights and social sustainability.

The two-year master’s programme is a joint degree programme organised in partnership by Örebro University, the University of Belgrade in Serbia, and LUMSA University in Palermo, Italy. The programme welcomes students from around the world and maintains a strong international profile.

“After several years of preparation, we are proud to introduce the first round of the programme. This enhances Örebro University’s international collaboration efforts and strengthens our position in law and sustainable social development,” says Eleonor Kristoffersson, Professor of Law at Örebro University.

Serbia, Italy and Sweden

Students spend the first semester in Belgrade, the second in Palermo, and the third in Örebro. The fourth semester is dedicated to a degree project with an international specialisation. By studying in three different countries, students gain experience of various legal systems and establish an international network.

The programme combines legal studies with perspectives on human rights, gender equality, and diversity. It includes both compulsory and elective courses, as well as elements such as legal clinics, projects, and practical exercises.

Open to students from varying backgrounds

Students with backgrounds in law, social sciences, humanities, or other subject areas are encouraged to apply.

“This is a unique opportunity for students who want to work internationally and contribute to a more inclusive society. The combination of academic depth and experience from three European universities provides a strong foundation for future professional roles,” says Eleonor Kristoffersson.

Applications are accepted from 16 March to 15 April.
