Water leak in Campus USÖ Sunday March 28th
On Sunday, a large water leak was discovered in the eastern part of the basement on Campus USÖ.
The heavy rain had filled the pit during construction with rainwater, which flowed into the basement through the hole taken up in the facade before the upcoming connection between the existing basement and the new basement in stage 3.
The highest priority has been to secure the electricity supply to the biobank and to the freezers on floors 2 and 3. So far, we have managed to avoid an electrical circuit and the rescue service has pumped water out of the basement with good effect. The water have also been swept away and sucked up. Now the decontamination work in the basement begins.
