Robotlab and Visual Lab – explore AI in practice during AI Days

Visit Robotlab and Visual Lab during AI Days and experience how AI is used in practice. Explore robots, visualisations, and research projects that demonstrate how new technology can solve real problems. Labs are open all day and can be visited at any time.
Opening hours: Robotlab and Visual Lab are open for visits on 10-12 February from 8:00 to 17:00.
Robotlab
Robotlab is an open test-and-development environment where students, researchers, and companies collaborate to develop AI and robotics prototypes. Applied research is conducted here in collaboration with Epiroc, Saab, Volvo, Örebro County Airport, and Region Örebro County, among others.
During your visit, you can see autonomous robots and vehicles, cameras and laser scanners, VR technology, and examples of software development with machine learning. Take the opportunity to ask questions – how is AI used to solve real problems?
Robotlab is located in the Teknikhuset.
Visual Lab
In Visual Lab, you will encounter a 36-metre-wide projection that envelops the visitor (270°). Here, data from research projects are visualised, such as point clouds, 3D scans, and models of vehicles and robots. The aim is to make complex information easier to understand and explore.
You will also see examples from Visual Lift, a regional development project that helps companies use 3D visualisation, build digital twins, and work in a more data-driven way.
Visual Lab is located in the ARC building.
