Knowledge exchange is a crucial tool in realising Örebro University’s Food and Health Center’s vision – sustainably produced food with health benefits to be the first choice. Food & Health@ORU 31 January 2025: Diego Montiel Rojas, lecturer in exercise physiology, discusses why diet should not be overlooked when changes are made to your physical activity and offers tips on how to approach it. (in English)

Food & Health@ORU 28 February 2025: Ute Walter, docent in culinary arts and meal science, talks about the social aspect of meals as a resource in the transition towards more sustainable meals. (in Swedish)

Food & Health@ORU 28 March 2025: Robert Brummer, professor and pro-vice-chancellor of Food and Health at Örebro University, and Anna Ström, associate professor at Chalmers University of Technology, discuss PAN Sweden and research on plant-based proteins for health and well-being. (in Swedish)

Food & Health@ORU 23 May 2025: Iuri Baptista, postdoctoral researcher in culinary arts and meal science at the School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts and Meal Science at Örebro University, and Nicklas Neuman, docent at the Department of Food Studies, Nutrition and Dietetics at Uppsala University, discuss insights from experiments examining social influences on food behaviour. Food & Health@ORU 23 February 2024: Katja Fall, professor of clinical epidemiology at the School of Medical Sciences, introduces SIMPLER, a national infrastructure for healthy living. SIMPLER offers data for research on how diet and lifestyle factors, as well as genetics can affect health. (in English)

Food & Health@ORU 22 March 2024: Marleen Lentjes, a nutritional epidemiologist and senior lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences at Örebro University, talks about her research project “Food in Sweden” and her work with supermarket safaris – from its outset in the innovation environment Social Impact Lab to pilot tests in collaboration with stakeholders in Örebro. The project examines in detail how food and health are communicated across various contexts. (in Swedish)
