Publishing agreement: Elsevier

Corresponding authors at Örebro University are eligible to publish open access at no cost in most of the publisher's journals.

Author instructions

In order for the publisher to correctly identify you as an eligible author, please use your institutional email address (@oru.se) when submitting your article.

On the publisher platform, post acceptance:

  • Choose Örebro University under the section Corresponding Author’s Organization.
  • Choose “Publish Open Access” under the section Gold Open Access. Provided that the journal is part of the agreement, you should now see some information indicating that you will not be charged.
  • Select a license for your article.
  • Complete the Journal License Publishing Agreement. Review the Order and click "Finish".

When you have completed all steps on the publisher’s author platform, the University Library will be automatically notified to verify the author’s institutional affiliation. A confirmation letter is sent when the verification has been carried out.

Journals covered by the agreement

Costs for publishing open access are covered in most (some 2,300) of the publisher's journals. Hybrid open access journals from Cell Press are not included in the agreement.
