Conference digital platform

We suggest using Örebro University’s digital platform for conferences. Below, we’ve gathered information on how to download and use it to get the best overview of the conference and to interact with the contributors and other participants. The platform is available as a mobile or web app – and is free of charge.

Installation

Follow these instructions to download and use the app on your phone.
For use on a computer, follow the web app instructions in option 2. The web app works best in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

NOTE:

  • The mobile app does not require using the web app.
  • The web app requires first registering via the mobile app.
  • Use the same profile for both the mobile and web apps.

 

Option 1 – Mobile app

  1. Open App Store or Google Play on your phone.
  2. Search and download the app “Örebro universitet – mötesapp”.
  3. Enter the event code sent by email after you have registered for the conference.
  4. Select “Join”.
  5. Create a profile to access all conference features and content.

Option 2 – Web app  
(for use on a computer)

  1. The web app works best using Microsoft Edge or the Google Chrome browser.
  2. Visit https://web.meetappevent.com. The “ventla” webpage is shown along with instructions and a QR code.
  3. Open the “Örebro universitet – mötesapp” mobile app.
  4. Select Web App – at the bottom left in the mobile app menu.
  5. Scan the QR code displayed on your computer.
  6. Your browser will now reload and the web app is now ready to use.

GDPR

Of course, the app is fully GDPR compliant. All conference participants are protected by law and our own university’s data policy.

Activity feed

The activity feed may be used by all conference participants. It serves as the conference’s own closed social media. Here you will see posts from the conference – photos, messages, thoughts, and shared experiences. Join in the fun!


Programme

All conference information and other important news – before, during and after the conference – can be found here. Create your own personal programme using the bookmark function.


Information

Here you will find other practical information related to the conference like Wi-Fi settings, maps, travel etc.


Dialogue

The app includes various opportunities for interaction. Use the Dialogue menu to take part in polls related to the conference.


Participants

Create a personal profile to let everyone know who you are. To make it easy to connect, include your name, contact info and a photo. That way you’ll gain access to other attendees’ profiles, can tag contacts as favourites, make notes, and add their contact information to your phone’s address book. Start conversations and keep in touch –  before, during and after the conference.


Notes

Notes taken during the conference can be shared through email or printing.

Used to configure push notifications and reminders.


Web App

Use the QR-scanning function to access Örebro University’s meeting app as a web app via a web browser.


Push notifications

The conference may need to bring something to your attention and then we’ll need to send out a notification about news, significant information like a schedule change etc. To receive this type of information, please allow push notifications under the Settings menu. Push notifications sent already are found under the Dialogue menu.


Other information

Whether you use the conference’s mobile app or web app, you have access to the platform’s many other features like streaming content and answering poll questions.
