Course content

This joint faculty course is for students from all scientific areas. The ethical reasoning has a general character even though some of the literature using examples from medicine, which has the most ethical questions related to their research.

Course objectives:

  • demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the import of ethical guidelines for research
  • demonstrate the ability to assess an application to an ethical vetting board
  • be able to pursue a normative ethical discussion on research-ethical problems and dilemmas
  • demonstrate an understanding of good research practice and researcher integrity

Course information

The course language will be English if there are English speaking applicants, otherwise the course will be held in Swedish.

The number of participants is limited to 20 participants. If less than 10 participants the course will not start.

Teaching following days: September 11, September 14, September 27, October 2, October 18, October 23.

Admission requirements

To gain access to the course and complete the examinations included in the course, the applicant must be admitted to doctoral education at Örebro University. Applicants enrolled at another university can participate in availability.
