About Fan Wang

Fan Wang holds an Msc in Geomatics from Lund University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at Örebro University. She also works part-time as a junior ML researcher at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.

Her research interests focus on the application of Earth Observation data, machine learning, and computational methods to model and analyze Earth system processes and environmental dynamics.

She is currently working on a Horizon Europe project FERTITEC, which aims to optimize waste recycling and sustainable fertiliser production. Prior to this, she worked on mapping tree species in Swedish forests.
