About Helena Erlandsson
Helena Erlandsson is a licensed psychologist working 50% at the Eating Disorders Unit in Karlstad, Region Värmland. The remaining 50% of her time she is a PhD student at the Department of Medical Sciences at Örebro University. Helena began her PhD studies in 2025.
Research Project
Helena’s ongoing PhD project focuses on an eating disorder treatment that combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). The project includes both quantitative studies, examining treatment outcomes in terms of eating disorder symptoms, depressive symptoms, and emotion regulation abilities, and a qualitative study exploring patients’ experiences of this treatment. The project is conducted in collaboration between the Eating Disorders Unit in Örebro and the Eating Disorders Unit in Värmland."
