About Johanna Körberg Lerøy
Areas of Work
As a space planner at the Campus Development Unit, Johanna is passionate about shaping environments that support the university’s daily life—both now and in the future. By identifying space needs and transforming them into smart, sustainable solutions, she helps create campus areas that are not only functional, but also welcoming, safe, and inclusive. Her work relies on close collaboration with property owners, consultants, suppliers, and colleagues across the university. From strategic planning and budgeting to hands-on development projects, Johanna plays a key role in turning ideas into reality.
Background
Johanna is a certified Interior Architect (SIR/MSA) who brings a strong design perspective to every project. She holds a master’s degree from Konstfack and has worked on both local and international assignments. Her expertise ranges from the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings to custom furniture design.
For Johanna, campus planning is about more than buildings—it’s about creating places that matter.
Driven by the belief that well-designed spaces have a meaningful impact, it’s about creating inspiring, people-centered environments for students, faculty, researchers, and visitors.
Since joining the Campus Development Unit in 2024, she’s brought that vision to life through projects at Musikhögskolan and Campus Grythyttan, with a strong focus on reuse and circular thinking.
