About Paulina Calderon Flores
Paulina Calderon Flores is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Örebro University, School of Science and Technology. She graduated from Korea University in 2022; her PhD thesis in Plant Biotechnology that has for title “Genetic and Functional Study of Deep Purple Seed Coat Color Genes in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)”.
Her ongoing project is “Plant response to ultraviolet radiation and blue light: from perception to crop production”. She aims to combine several tools, genomics, physiology, molecular biology and statistics, to unravel molecular and physiological mechanism mediating light perception and signaling in plants. And more specific objetives are to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying UV-A perception by UVR8 and the crosstalk between UV and blue light induced signaling pathways.
