Short Biography
Simon Schierup is trained in classical piano, music theory, ensemble performance, arranging, and composition. He also holds a master’s degree in musicology.

Within the field of musicology, Simon Schierup has written about cultural diversity and music education, as well as how higher music education institutions can develop approaches to cultural diversity based on democratic principles and active collaboration with the surrounding community. Building on this work, Simon founded Spelrum – A Creative Arena for Cultural Meetings, an intercultural initiative open to both professional cultural practitioners and the general public interested in artistic exchange.
