About Svitlana Drin

Svitlana Drin is a Researcher in Statistics at the Örebro University School of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, 2007) from Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Ukraine. Prior to joining Örebro University in 2023, she held academic positions at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (2012–2023), where she also served as a guarantor of the master's program in Applied Mathematics, and earlier at several Ukrainian universities in teaching and research roles.

Her current research interests lie at the intersection of statistical modeling, econometrics, and applied mathematics. She focuses on forecasting models for supply chains and consumer prices, econometrics, and time series analysis. She has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus and has participated in international conferences and research collaborations across Europe.

In addition to her academic research, Svitlana has a strong background in teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics, econometrics, and mathematical modeling. She is currently involved in a research project funded by the KK-Stiftelsen foundation on forecasting methods for supply chain management.
