It is high time to apply for Master's programmes

Now after the Christmas holidays, it is time to think about the future. Apply for a Master's programme at Örebro University, starting in the autumn 2017.

Here are the ten Master's programmes – open for application until 16 January 2017. Six students, both international and Swedish, speak of their choice – Örebro University:

"I have really been allowed to develop my skills in a way I did not think was possible", says Grace Turyasingura from Uganda, who appreciates the problem-based approach and recognizes how her ability to think critically has developed positively. She is pleasantly surprised how much she has learnt in just one semester of Master's programme for Innate Immunity in Health and Disease. She has also made herself at home in Örebro and socializes with both fellow students and people outside the University.

"For me as an international student, it was important that the University I chose had performed well in rankings", say Jean Noel Uwayezu from Rwanda, referring to Örebro University's performance on Times Higher Education. He is currently studying for his Master's in Chemistry in Environmental Forensics. He was impressed with the town of Örebro, which is much bigger and up-and-coming than he had imagined.

"This programme turned out to be the right way to go and with a top-quality environment. The research team made me feel really welcome", says Malin Markgren from Sweden, planning to go on to do her PhD, after finishing her Master's in Nutritional Molecular Medicine and Bioinformatics.

"I would definitely recommend others to apply to the Master's programme at Örebro University. Influential and interesting things take place here, even though it is a small University. That makes for great conditions – knowing that there is always someone willing to help and that everyone is friendly", says Stefania Kapetanaki from Greece, studying her Master's in Cardiovascular Medicine, and plans on finishing it while working as a Doctor at Örebro University Hospital.

"I can strongly recommend others to apply. Mostly because of the fantastic teachers", says Antek Schabert, Germany, doing his Master's in Robotics and Intelligent Systems. He appreciates the strong connection to research at Örebro University. In his spare time, he likes to explore the wonderful nature close to the University and see the sights in Örebro by foot. To him, the fact that nearly everyone speaks very good English in Sweden makes getting around a pleasure.

"This is your programme if you are interested in taking your sports medicine knowledge to the next level. The relaxed atmosphere has been essential for a good learning experience", says Igor Wladimir Moura Sanna, a former professional athlete from Brazil, now in Örebro for his Master's in Sports Physiology and Medicine. He enjoys the life style in Örebro with all its green areas around the town and the forest close to campus.
