Publishing agreement: SAGE
Corresponding authors at Örebro University are eligible to publish open access at no cost in most of the publisher’s journals.
Author instructions
Please use your institutional email address (@oru.se) when submitting your article.
Upon acceptance of a manuscript you will receive an email from the publisher, informing you that the article may be published open access under the Swedish Bibsam agreement. Follow the instructions and proceed to the SAGE Open Access Portal, where the option to publish open access is preselected.
When choosing to publish open access, the CC BY license option will be preselected. Contact the publisher if you prefer another license option. Information on the various Creative Commons licenses is available on the National Library of Sweden’s web site.
Journals covered by the agreement
The publication fee is prepaid for a majority of the publisher’s journals. Journals that SAGE acquired from Mary Ann Liebert in 2025 are not included in the publishing agreement.
All journals covered by the agreement are listed in the Scifree search service.
Other charges
A few journals charge a small fee for manuscript handling (so-called ‘submission fee’). This fee is not covered by the publishing agreement. Nor are any other potential ancillary costs (such as color printing, offprints, page charges, posters) covered by the agreement.
