Let us introduce our own Big Band
The Big Band at the School of Music gives you as a student the opportunity to play in a big band. The band rehearses every week and gives concerts at least twice a semester.
The Big Band plays music from different time periods to show in a comprehensive way the variations that exist in music. The focus on music is everything from Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones to more modern ones such as Maria Schneider, Michael Abene and Martin Sjöstedt etc.
Through the School of Music in Örebro, our Big Band has close contact and cooperation with Norrbotten Big Band. The contact includes many exciting projects such as concerts and clinics.
