Quantitative Research Methods, 7.5 credits

This is a joint faculty course on the PhD level and primarily intended for PhD students at Örebro University. Students at other universities can participate if there are free places in the course.

The course is intended for students without a strong background in Statistics and aims to give the research students:

• understanding of statistical theory and methodology and its application in statistical surveys and analyses
• ability to conduct basic statistical surveys, calculations and analyses
• and a deeper understanding of statistical methods relevant for the students research area.

The course is offered in English and the number of students is limited to 15.

When applying students should provide a ½ to 1 page summary of their research question including a description of the data (if any) they intend to use in addition to a filled out application form. Send the application to research administration at . 

Students who are not admitted to PhD studies at Örebro University should enclose a certificate of admission to PhD studies.
