Henrique: The colors are everywhere!

Pay attention to the leaves starting to fall, because it may start to get windy. 🍂
I can hardly compare something about nature here that reminds me of Brazil. In São Paulo most of the nature that I was allowed to appreciate was limited to buildings and some parks scattered around town, but there was something about nature that always caught my attention. I always loved to praise the sky, the trees and the sunlight, and that is something I want to share with you today.
When I fi rst arrived here in Örebro in 2024, the first days of autumn season, the leaves were about to fall, there were apples everywhere and the days were sunny. It was something like this:

The city has this peaceful vibe, and I had this feeling that still remains that you can get lost in the sky at many moments during the day. I remember noticing there aren’t many street lights, which was weird for me, but it actually feels super safe. ✌🏽
During the first activities to meet new students we had small trips to closer parks and lakes that also helped me to understand how far I was from home. At least closer to São Paulo I don’t remember seeing many lakes closer to taller trees so this next one was rather a unique experience for me:

This photo was taken in Ånnaboda’s Nature Reserve, a bus away from the center of Örebro. It felt extremely calm and reassuring as it was a sunny and breezing day. Later I learned that windy days may steal away your gloves but leave it for another post. 🍃
The next most impressive thing in my perception was the whole change of seasons. I wasn’t used to feeling it so intensely in the sky colors , excess or lack of daylight, and the natural events, such as rain and snow. I think I really got it when I was going to my swedish course and everyday I would pass by this bridge and I realized the river was slowly freezing:

And those things are just a few. I could tire you out of photos I have of the sky, but by now I will just fi nish with another depiction of seasonability represented by this lovely tree that is in the way when I’m going to music school:

I don't want to sound very poetic, but the colors are everywhere, and after these experiences I know I will bring with me a different understanding of how the environment changes and how I appreciate it as well.
