About Anna Drakenberg

Anna Drakenberg, PhD and Specialist Nurse in Intensive Care, works in pre- and postoperative care at Örebro University Hospital and conducts research focusing on the evaluation and development of healthcare interventions in cardiothoracic surgery and respiratory medicine. Her research encompasses both patients’ and family members’ experiences and well-being, as well as their perspectives on healthcare.

In addition to her clinical and research work, Anna teaches at the School of Health Sciences at Örebro University, primarily through supervising undergraduate and graduate theses.

In 2017, Anna founded the clinical network National Network for Thoracic Intensive Care Nurses (NTHIS), where she remains an active member. She is also engaged in the Swedish Association for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (AnIva).
