About Anna Nordlind

Anna is a nurse with a specialist degree in health and medical care for children and young people. She works at the specialist clinic for Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Central Hospital in Karlstad and has been a part-time doctoral student at Örebro University since April 2019.

There is currently no national patient survey for children and young people in Sweden, but questionnaires have been directed to guardians, as well as to adolescents over 15 years of age. Anna has made a survey of how paediatric departments in Sweden capture children's experiences and views in the encounter with paediatric care.

The doctoral project also includes translation and testing of a questionnaire called "Children and Young People - Patient Reported Experience Measure" (CYP-PREM). CYP-PREM is a British instrument aimed at patients aged 8–16 years for evaluation of care. The instrument was developed together with children and young people. The translation includes interviews with children and young people to test their understanding of the questions. The questions are then changed based on the views of the respondents. The interviews are conducted at the paediatric departments in the Värmland Region, the Uppsala Region and the Örebro County Region.
