About Emma Vikström
Emma Vikström is a PhD-student in History of Education at the Department of Education.
Currently, she is working on her dissertation with the title The Creation of a New Kind of Human: Ellen Key, Eugenics and Education, a historical study that examines the relationship between eugenics and education around the turn of the 20th century, departing from the work of the author and educator Ellen Key.
She is part of the research group Utbildning och demokrati [Education and democracy] and the editorial co-ordinator of the journal Utbildning & Demokrati [Education & Democracy]. She is also a member of Swedish Educational Research Association and the international Ellen Key Research Network.
Vikström has been teaching at the teacher education program since 2015.
