About Linnea Urberg

Linnea Urberg is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Örebro University. She holds a PhD in Education and is a member of the research environment ESERGO (Environmental and Sustainability Education Research Group Örebro).


Research

Linneas research combines didactics with perspectives from sociology and cultural studies to explore counterculture and resistance in education, with a particular focus on environmental and sustainability education (ESE).

Linneas research is grounded in ethnographic methodology, qualitative interviews, classroom observations, and online studies. Her research is primarily grounded in ethnographic approaches and qualitative methods, including interviews, classroom observations, and studies of online environments.


Teaching
Linnea has been teaching on the university’s teacher education programmes since 2020, mainly in the educational science courses on educational history, social relations, educational leadership and assessment.
