About Lisa Holm

Licensed biomedical scientist in clinical physiology. Doctoral studies were initiated in March 2026 within an own started project “Remote Monitoring of Pacemaker Therapy in Sweden
- Strategies for Efficiency, Safety and Patient Satisfaction”. A master’s degree in medicine with main subject cardiology and special focus on pacemaker therapy was finished in August 2025.  

The doctoral project of remote monitoring will have an overall purpose in terms of a national survey, patient outcomes and preferences, workload and workflow, and optimization. The overall goal is to achieve safe, and efficient remote follow-up with focus on the patient.   

In addition to her doctoral project, she has prior research experience from a project on swimming-induced pulmonary edema (SIPE). As part of the SIPE project, she was involved in data collection and analysis within the framework of the heart research studies.

Lisa has been employed at the cardiology clinic at Falun hospital for 11 years and worked with pacemaker and ICD therapy for 8 years. For instance, she has been involved in the implementation and optimization of remote monitoring for pacemaker patients in region Dalarna. Accordingly, she has long experience of remote monitoring.
