Matteo De Donà is a social scientist with an interdisciplinary background between the fields of International Relations (IR) and Science & Technology Studies (STS). His main field of expertise is the relation between science and policy in international environmental and sustainability governance. Much of his research focuses on the role of science and expertise in intergovernmental negotiations, as well as on processes of knowledge production within global governance institutions. In addition, Matteo's research interests include legitimacy and accountability in global governance, science diplomacy, and sociology of science.
