Nadia Boroumand

About Nadia Boroumand

I am a Postdoctoral researcher at Örebro University. I completeed my PhD at Stockholm University. I have a broad background in clinical laboratory sciences, clinical biochemistry, and molecular biology. My experience in both hospital and academic settings sparked a strong interest in bridging clinical practice with research. My work has been focusing on method development and cellular and molecular investigations. During my PhD, I developed several advanced experimental systems, including air-liquid interface and 3D lung models, to enable more accurate inhalation exposure and achieve physiologically relevant responses. However, there is still room for improvement in such platforms, which I look forward to continuing to explore during my postdoctoral research.
