About Sofia Jonsson
Jonsson’s research focuses on gender, violence and corruption. Jonsson currently forms part of the research environment: Sexual corruption. Understanding, measuring and preventing abuse of power for sex. She was previsouly a visiting researcher at the Department of Political Science at Uppsala University. In her dissertation, "Sex, crime and politics. How organized crime influences and adapts to political institutions, with a particular focus on sex trafficking" (Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg) Jonsson examines the interlinked relationship between prostitution policy, human trafficking and democratic development.
