New study: Negative affect plays an important role in sleep disorders and pain in adolescents

A new study that was published in the scientific journal Pain showed that sleep problems and pain mutually influence each other during adolescence, but that it is primarily sleep problems that can predict pain. The results of the study indicate that sleep problems can lead to depressed and anxious mood, which, in turn, can lead to increased pain over time.
