New research project on equal dementia care

To ensure equal and personal dementia care for everyone - regardless of cultural or linguistic background - that is the goal of Helen Lindner's research project, which received 5 million SEK from Forte.

Foreign-born residents with dementia in Sweden are a vulnerable group. The project, which has the title: "Rethinking Environments in Dementia Care Homes (REDem)- paving the way for equality in care delivery", aims to improve dementia care for people with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The project strives to create a truly inclusive care environment that supports every individual's unique needs.

The project is a collaboration between Örebro University and Karolinska Institute.
