Sport Science, Second Cycle, Concepts in Nutrition and Physical Activity for Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 15 Credits

The course develops thorough knowledge on evidence-based links between physical activity, dietary behaviors and outcomes related to physical health throughout the life course, including cellular and molecular mechanisms by which physical activity and dietary behaviors prevent disease development and promote health. The course content covers design, concepts, and methodological considerations within the field of nutritional and physical activity epidemiology, including different methods to assess and evaluate diet and physical activity in different populations, as well as theoretical approaches for behavioral change interventions.
