Music production and Songwriting I, 30 Credits

The course introduces students to fundamental music production through an integrated framework of audio technology, songwriting, composition, and entrepreneurship. Through work with songwriting, arranging, and instrumentation, music theory knowledge is applied in creative practice, while students develop the ability to analyze musical works using relevant literature and established terminology. The course also includes components in music analysis, notation practices, and academic writing, with a focus on interpretation and artistic expression in music production. Entrepreneurial perspectives and basic industry knowledge are integrated to provide an understanding of the music industry’s conditions and structures.
