As a fadder, you are required to volunteer during activities organized by Nexus and the international office (for example arrival days), as well as working at Kåren during the OP. Is this something you would do if needed? Please motivate your answer.

Fadder education

To be able to attend the Orientation Programme as a fadder, you must complete a fadder education.*

Fadder education for Swedish speaking fadders: Tuesday, April 21st (17.15-18.45). This session is the primary session, but for those who are unable to attend, or if the event becomes fully booked, a digital alternative will be offered at a later time.

*If you are a non-Swedish speaking Nexus fadder, you will be given more information about the fadder education in English later on.

Being a fadder requires a significant time commitment outside of your studies. Are you prepared to take on this role and its responsibilities? Do you have any other obligations outside this role?

In many groups, people take on different roles. Which role would you naturally take on, and how does that contribute to the group?

Situation: You are at a pre-party with your group and your fadder colleagues are talking about rumors that are not confirmed. The rumors involve fadders that are not in the room. How do you approach the situation?

As a fadder, you sign a contract which means that during the OP you must adhere to certain rules, such as a restrictive intake of alcohol, zero tolerance for alcohol incitement and that all relationships during the OP are kept friendly. You see a fadder colleague too drunk, how do you act? Follow-up question: How do you think the situation should be handled if a fadder violates this contract?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

I am aware that by sending in this form I, as a fadder, will be a part of the welcoming of new students. I will at all times be a good ambassador for Örebro Student Union, Örebro University and the city of Örebro. I will always keep in mind the four key concepts of the introduction: sense of security, participation, joy and respect.
I am also aware that, I as a fadder, must be a member of the Örebro Student Union. The membership fee is at this moment 300 SEK for a full year and 250 SEK for a single semester.
I agree to be present at planned meetings. During the introduction I will be a part of all activities that I am responsible for, or be responsible to find my own replacement. If I choose to decline or to drop out of my faddership I must immediately inform the generals in order for them to find my replacement.

By sending in this form I understand that I have applied to be a Nexus fadder. This does not mean that I have been accepted as a fadder but rather that I will be under consideration by the generals.

The information that I have given will be shared with the Introduction officer, the International student assistant, administrator at Örebro Student Union and the Nexus generals. The information will be deleted within 6 months after the end of the orientation programme.
