Örebro University Scholarship
If you are admitted to a master's programme at Örebro University, you are eligible to apply to our Scholarship Programme.
Örebro University Scholarship 2024
The Örebro University Scholarship programme is aimed at top academic students from countries outside the European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland, who are required to pay tuition fees for studies starting after June 2011. The scholarship covers full or partial tuition fees. It does not cover living expenses, which means that you will have to finance your own living expenses.

The number of awarded scholarships varies every year but commonly covers 4-5 students per academic year. Read more about study fees.
The application for scholarship 2024/2025 will open preliminery end of March, 2024.
Who is eligible?
- Applicant must have applied for a Master Programme through Universityadmissions.se within deadline and having Örebro University as first priority.
- Applicant must be admitted to a Master Programme at Örebro University.
- Applicant must be from a country outside the European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland.
- Applicant must fill out the application form that is distributed in conjuction with admissions in April.
Further, to be awarded a scholarship, the applicant must, through the application form, demonstrate suitability and commitment to the chosen field of study and provide documents of academic qualifications.
How to Apply

Results will be published end of March / beginning of April 2024

Deadline April 2024
Fill out the application form according to the information sent out by the university. Submit all the required information and documents before deadline. - Results
Post deadline, all applications will be reviewed and decisions will be made in the beginning of May, 2024. Awarded students will be contacted via email at this time. The results will also be published on this website. If you are not awarded a scholarship you will not be notified.
Supporting documents
To assess your application, you need to add the following mandatory supporting documents to the application:
- Personal motivation letter (maximum 1 page)
- CV (maximum 1 page)
- A minimum of 2 letters of recommendation (maximum 1 page each).
All the documents need to be merged in to one single PDF file. Only documents in a PDF-format will be considered. Maximum file size is 4 Mb.

The Swedish Institute offer scholarships for students from many different countries - these scholarships cover tuition fees and in most cases also living expenses.
The Swedish Institute awards about 500 scholarships per year to students and researchers who want to come to Sweden.
If awarded a scholarship from the Swedish Institute a student unfortunately can not recieve the Örebro University Scholarship.
