The two-year Master's programme is a joint program offered through a collaboration between Örebro University, Sweden, the University of Belgrade, Serbia and LUMSA University in Palermo, Italy. These three institutions have strong academic profiles in law, social sustainability, and gender studies. As a student, you will not only gain advanced knowledge in legal studies but also benefit from the unique opportunity to study in three different European countries. The programme also gives you a unique opportunity to engage with students and faculty from diverse legal traditions while building an international professional network.
The programme is designed for applicants with a background in law, social sciences, humanities, or related fields. It is particularly suited to those who aspire to contribute to a more equal and inclusive society at the local, national, and global levels.
The curriculum consists of both compulsory and elective courses, allowing students to specialize in areas such as human rights, migration law, family law, feminist legal theories, digital technology and gender, sports law, criminology, tax law, European Union law, and international law. Students also gain valuable practical experience through a legal clinic, project-based work, practical exercises, and teaching delivered by leading experts in the field.
The programme concludes with an independent Master's thesis with an international focus. Upon successful completion of the programme, students are eligible to apply for three internationally recognised degrees awarded by the partner universities.
