Allergenic substances

It must be clearly indicated where allergenic chemicals with hazard statements H317 and H334 are handled, and what protective measures should be taken when handling them. Rooms where open handling of hazardous allergenic substances is carried out must be marked with signs, and employees must be instructed on how to conduct the work safely. Special training and training certification are required for handling the allergenic chemical products listed below, and a medical certificate is also required in order to be allowed to work with certain of these products.

  • Diisocyanates
  • Epoxy resin components
  • Organic acid anhydrides
  • Formaldehyde resins
  • Methacrylates or acrylates marked with H317 or H334.
  • Work involving thermal degradation that releases isocyanates or processes that release formaldehyde.
  • Work with certain allergenic chemical products containing ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate or Methyl 2-cyanoacrylate, if the work has a total duration of over 30 minutes per week.
