Self-enrolment in a course for participants

Self-enrolment means that participants can enroll in a course or organization themselves. This option is only relevant for courses and organisations that do not have an integration with Ladok, i.e. courses where students are not added automatically in connection with registration. Self-enrolment also requires that the user has an active account in the system.

Self-enrolment in a course/organization is activated by the system administrator and requested via itsupport@oru.se. Once you have received confirmation that the activation is complete:

Retrieve the self-enrolment link

• Log in to the course
• Copy the page’s URL. Example: https://lms.oru.se/ultra/courses/_12345_1/outline

Distribute the link to users

• Distribute the link outside Blackboard. If the link is sent outside Blackboard, the user must first log in to the system. After logging in, the user will be redirected to the self-enrolment page, where they click the Submit button to enrol in the course/organization.

or

• Add it as a link inside Blackboard. When a user clicks the link, they will be redirected to the self-enrolment page, where they click the Submit button to enrol in the course/organization.
