About Helen Andersson

Helen Andersson holds a PhD in Scandinavian Languages from Uppsala University and has worked as a senior lecturer in Media and Communication Studies since 2004.

Her teaching is grounded in a linguistic perspective. She primarily teaches courses that focus on brand communication, rhetoric and language use, as well as oral and written communication.

Her research interests are mainly situated within the field of multimodal and (critical) discourse analysis. Her work focuses on commercial representations of food and health, nature and nationalism, masculinity and cooking. Her current research includes food, CSR communication, sustainability, and multimodality.
