About Rebecca Lennartsson
Rebecca Lennartsson is a doctoral student in health sciences and a licensed psychologist. She divides her time between research and clinical work in primary care. Her doctoral research focuses on provoked vulvodynia, chronic vulvar pain, in young women. Through the Young Vulvodynia project, she maps the issue among young people seeking care at youth clinics in Region Örebro County and Region Värmland, and evaluates a multimodal treatment for vulvodynia at the youth clinic in Örebro.
Rebecca has extensive experience in clinical treatment work and in coordinating research projects on vulvodynia and other pain conditions. She is currently coordinating the Vulvodynia Intervention study at Karlstad University. She has served as a therapist in the Venus Study, an ongoing randomized controlled trial evaluating a group treatment for vulvodynia. She has also worked as project coordinator in the Hybrid Project and in the MOT Study.
