About Seta Kurt
Seta Kurt received her Biomedical Scientist degree from Uppsala University in 2009 and thereafter obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science from Örebro University in 2022. Since 2022, she is a PhD student in Immunoprofiling of Inflammation research group (Cardiovascular Research Centre) at School of Medical Sciences, Örebro University. In parallel with her doctoral studies, she works as a biomedical scientist at the Clinical Research Laboratory at Örebro University Hospital.
Her research focuses on peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a manifestation of atherosclerosis that affects the arteries in the legs and primarily occurs in the elderly population. The aim of her project is to gain a deeper understanding of immune responses in PAD and identify novel biomarkers and develop intervention strategies to improve the health and quality of life of PAD patients.
