Although Swedish youths of today generally are healthier than previous generations and also in comparison with youths in other parts of the world, mental problems, stress and psychosomatic disorders have increased among young people and in particular among young girls. This project investigates the medial picture of young people's mental health in the period 1970-1999. The purpose is to understand how the attention surrounding the health of young people has changed and what problems, stressor and health threats that have been highlighted.

This project is a part of Trestadsstudien.
