The aim of the project is to investigate different types of sleep problems in the population. Both people who slept well and those with poor sleep participated by answering questions about their sleep three times over 18 months. So far, our research has focused on the links between insomnia, anxiety and depression, and identified factors of importance for new insomnia, persistent insomnia and remission from insomnia. Now our focus is shifting to symptoms of Restless Legs Syndrome, apnea and nightmares, and towards psychometrical evaluations of more sleep-related questionnaires.
