About this project
Individuals with multiple disabilities often have profound intellectual impairments and limited/no speech. They communicate with mimics and body language. The aim of this clinical project is to evaluate the use of eye gaze technology for communication in individuals with multiple disabilities. We use a screen eye-tracker, eye-controlled games and communication program to explore the potential of communication between the person and his/her environment. The results will also help us to gain better understanding of the cognitive process among this group of individuals with profound intellectual impairments.
