Research subject

The goal of community day centers is to maintain good health, break loneliness and to promote an active, meaningful and satisfying life in older people. In addition to support independence and confidence in one's own ability so that the elderly can stay at home.  During the current pandemic, these goals are even more important in order to maintain good health for the elderly. Well-functioning community day centers are also important for relieving home healthcare staff where staff already have a strained work situation and work environment.  In order to reduce the spread of Covid-19 among community staff and also among the elderly who participate in the community day centers, the day care activities must be restructured and adapted. It is thus important to investigate the precautions and adjustments that the community staff has made and how these adjustments are experienced by community staff and the older persons who attend community day centers. The project is interprofessional and researchers from different universities as well region are involved.
