About this project
Numerous physiological changes (e.g., increased heart rate and oxygen uptake, production of metabolites, increased blood flow to active muscles, etc.) occur during physical exercise and are influenced by several factors, including the type of activity, the intensity, the duration, the ambient conditions or the characteristics of the subjects. When the practique of physical exercise is repeated over a prolonged period (several weeks/months), it results in long term training adaptations (central and peripheral physiological adaptations) and leads to the improvement of physical performance. The overall aim of this project is to better understand the physiological responses to exercise and physiological adaptations to training in heatlthy subjects of all ages and in elite athletes.
