This projects contributes to the understanding of the so called research-teaching nexus. It takes an action theoretical approach to this problematique, and develops the concept of Academic ignorance as a way of capturing the university as a possible site for the “noch nicht ganz Gefundenes und nie ganz Aufzufindendes” (Humboldt).
