In Sweden about 84% of all children and adolescents with hearing impairments or deafness are integrated in schools together with children and adolescents with normal hearing. Additional technical solutions compatible with the children's? hearing aids are therefore an important aspect in these children's possibilities to get a good school education. The present study aims at children with hearing impairments, their teachers and peers? experiences of benefits and drawbacks of the technology, possible effects on the learning situation in school and perceived barriers in using an audio system with multiple microphones in school.
