Claude Fischler

Claude Fischler is a Directeur de recherche (Senior Scientist) emeritus at CNRS, the national research agency of France, and teaches at the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris.
His main area of research is an interdisciplinary perspective on food and nutrition with a particular emphasis on meals and the role of social interactions in human eating behavior.
He currently chairs the scientific and ethics committee of the French Fund for Food and Health (FFAS). He recently edited and published Selective Eating : The Rise, Meaning and Sense of « Personal Dietary Requirements » (Odile Jacob, 2015).
