Research

At the School of Music, we conduct research which is at the forefront of musicology. We study music as an individual, social and cultural phenomenon in order to develop knowledge about the relationship between music and people.
Our research adopts a critical focus on how culture and society shape the terms and conditions for this relationship. Research on Music, Power and Inequities is one of our strengths.
