Dr Samira Salihovic will present her research work on metabolomic effects in humans that she has conducted at Uppsala University and Department of Toxic Substances Control, California EPA (Berkeley, USA).
Dr Salihovic is currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Molecular epidemiology group, Department of Medical Sciences at Uppsala University. She studies the link between environmental toxins and metabolites that are involved in some of our most common diseases. Her research aims to expand our knowledge of how we can prevent or reduce the adverse impact of environmental pollutants on human health by studying how environmental toxins and metabolites are associated.
