About us and contact

Our school provides education and research in subjects related to natural sciences and technology. The school is characterized by an international environment with exciting research in areas such as artificial intelligence, environment and sustainable development, and life sciences.

Our school 

The school currently has about 200 employees and 60 doctoral students who are admitted to third-cycle education. About 1000 students are studying in our programs and courses at the moment. Our activities are mainly conducted in Bilbergska huset and Teknikhuset on Campus Örebro.

Program and courses

We educate in technical and scientific subjects and mainly teach engineers, natural scientists and teachers in about 15 different programs. We also offers a Master's program in intelligent robotics and automation, and two Master's programs in chemistry. We primarily offer entire educational programs, but there is also a range of independent courses. Our programs and courses (web page in Swedish). 

Our research

Our research has extensive external funding and often takes place in collaboration with industry. A large part of the research revolves around our three strong research environments: Center for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS), Man-Technology-Environment research center (MTM) and The Life Science Center. An international school

The school is very internationally oriented, especially in research. But there are also many international elements in our education. For example, it is possible to study abroad in all our programs and many of our courses are taught in English. We also offer two interesting Master's programs in chemistry. Competence development in AI for professionals

If you are a professional and want to develop your skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), we offer short, flexible and needs-oriented AI courses, so called Smarter courses. Read more about competence development within AI for professionals.
